Day Three: Dunsmuir to Fresno

So we didn't pack up and hit the road until 8:40am this morning so that Kiddo could have a few more minutes with her new Italian friends. We made it down the hill to Redding, where we stopped for a walk across the Sundial Bridge spanning the Sacramento River. After that, it was off to Davis for lunch with Uncle George and Aunt Karen! The girls had a great time exploring, though they were very sad not to see more of the kitty other than a glimpse through the window on our way in. After a brief wave at the capital, we headed down the 99 to Fresno. Lots of cows, horses, airplanes, trains, yellow trucks, and crops to keep us distracted. The crops we could easily identify were sunflowers, olives, corn, grapes, and onions, but there were many more.

Once checked into our hotel in Fresno, we made some dinner and headed out to play a round of miniature golf. Momma ended up with th
e best score, closely followed by Dude, and Kiddo did quite well considering she hasn't played in a year and not many times, if any, before that. But we all had fun and Momma and Dude came home sweaty since we played with Bubba and Baby on our backs.

New Bubba-ism today: "Can you ask nicely for your water?" "Nicely." Good enough! We've been practicing our pleases in the car since things are dropped (and thrown down) quite often.

Now we just have to get ready for some BIG TREES tomorrow in Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks.
(Most likely no new updates until we get to SLO)
