Day Eight: Rock to Pier

Early morning to make it to the 7:30am start time for the race: 40th Annual Brian Waterbury Memorial Rock to Pier Run. Kiddo and Betsy walked and Vikki ran while Grandma Sue, James, Dude, Bubba, Baby, and Momma cheered everyone on as they ran from Morro Rock to the Cayucos Pier (about 6 miles). There were 920 entrants this year, and we knew/are related to quite a few! After the race it was time for brunch at Grandma Sue's house. We had about 40 people and it was all very yummy. I ate the first piece of Betsy's orange cake and stole the last piece. :) During nap time the boogie boarders went out again, Baby, Bubba, Momma, and Grandma Sue snuck in a quick visit with Nanny, and then we had tri-tip and pig sandwiches from Firestone Grill. Drooling just thinking about them. The boys (Robert, James, and Dude) got to go to the Graduate to watch the UFC fights tonight and were quiet excited to get away from all the ladies in the house.Day Eight Photos
